Light a Candle
Gary Fisher, 84, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at the hospital surrounded by loved ones. His infectious laugh, jovial personality, and pasta sauce will be greatly missed. He was adored by all. Gary was born January 16, 1938, in Youngstown, OH, the son of Mary and Samuel Fisher. Gary was a hard worker and entrepreneur at heart. Always loved a challenge and was determined to overcome any obstacle, all while staying positive and keeping his sense of humor. He kept busy managing 2 apartment buildings, doing bookkeeping work, and giving advice to his children with random things that only a Dad can answer. He was a social butterfly who loved enjoying a good meal with friends and family. "Mangia! Mangia!" he would always say. Popcorn, nuts, and ice cream were some of his favorite treats. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Elana Fisher of Painesville; brother Samuel Fisher of Poland; sons, Max (Coleen) Fisher of Rocky River and Robbie Fisher of Eastlake; daughters Wendy Jenkins of Boardman and Cheri Fisher of Phoenix; four grandchildren, Sophia Fisher, Robert Jenkins, William (Jasmin) Jenkins, and Brittany (Justin) Judy; and four great-grandchildren Kyra and Kaylee Judy, and Marcelo and Adrian Jenkins. Besides his parents, Mary and Samuel Fisher, he was preceded in death by his beloved sister-in-law, Ramonita "Rae" Fisher. As per Gary’s request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
